(ie) Art inspired by wild places and wilder hearts
(ps)Transform your Arctic and Antarctic memories into tangible anchors of wonder and stillness.
Watercolour Artist. Photographer. Wilderness Guide.
You’ve travelled to the edges of the world.
I help you bring that feeling home.
Each artwork I create is a compass, guiding you back to the wild, vast and truth.
Let’s create a piece that holds what words cannot;
the awe, the silence, the belonging of your journey north, south, across and within.
Front(ie)r
Hi ! I’m Sophie
A watercolour artist, photographer, and wilderness guide, drawn to the places that humble the human gaze.
Drawn on nautical charts, my work is a meeting of human maps and wild truths.
Inspired by the f(ie)rce vastness of the poles.
Each line invites us to see beyond ourselves; to recognize that every current, wildlife encounter, and drifting ice floe belongs to the story of Earth.
Ecocentrism guides my hand, reminding us that we are not the center, but part of the whole.
Your story is already written in ice, salt and wind.
Let’s give it form; something to gaze, to hold, something to return to...
PRINTS
A limited-edition print from my polar series each one drawn from moments of wild light and quiet awe.
CHART

transformed you.
BOOK
South Within
A contemplative journal inspired by the f(ie)rce beauty of Antarctica. A place to anchor the inner shifts, the awe and quiet transformations sparked by the White Continent.
Bel(ie)ve
Season after season, I have felt the cold breath of glaciers. A place where silence has a pulse.
I know how it feels to stand before the ice and fall silent.
That is the feeling I hold in my work;
real, wild and full of reverence.
Ecocentrism is at the core of my art.
It asks us to shift our gaze from human benefit to the wellbeing of all life.
To see the penguin’s path across the ice
as important as our own.
To honor the quiet resilience of lichen on rock,
the vast migration of whales,
the patient work of the wind shaping snow.
Art that anchors the wild within
The Black-Browed Albatross drifts across the world’s wildest waters, its vast journeys whispering of freedom unbound and the quiet, fearless adventure of those who trust the wind.
My art is both compass and anchor: to remember the pull of the poles and the elevating perspective they offer, holding us steady in the memory of their potency.
In a changing world, my photos and charts are reminders that the guidance we most need may be the contour lines that lead us back into right relationship, with each other, and with the planet itself.
If Antarctica, if the Arctic has changed the way you see the world, if part of you is still listening for the breath
of whales or watching the light bend over ice,
I invite you to anchor that memory in art.
